Description
Today we have a Japanese Type 38 Rifle in 6.5X50mmSR imported by PRI. This rifle is one of the estimated 500,000 Japanese rifles that Russian some of witch some of them were bought from the British, who bought them from the Japanese Government, during and after WW1. Many of these rifles were stored in the region of the yet to be formed country of Finland and were used by the Finnish after they gained their independents in 1917 and used against the Russians during WW2. This rifle is in Good/Used condition with only minor scrapes and dings on the stock and very little bluing loss. Mostly around the trigger guard and stock bands. The bore is bright with strong rifling. This rifle doesn’t show almost any of the modifications, other than the Tokyo arsenal stamp over the Mum, that you usually see when they were removed from Japanese service sold. Making this somewhat of an oddity. This rifle does have a certificate of authenticity that the importer has sighed.
